Valentine's Afternoon Delight - February 9

Sunday, February 9, 2020
3 pm
Duncan Hall
619 Ferry Street, Lafayette

We are sorry that this concert will not take place. After much consideration, discussion, and regret, the board of the Lafayette Chamber Singers has made the decision to cancel the February 9, 2020 Valentine's Day Concert. This decision was a difficult one to make and we are saddened to have to do it. Due to personal and/or professional conflicts we have experienced a greater than normal singer shortage this season. While we were able to find replacements in time to rehearse the fall concert, that has not been the case for the Valentine concert. It became a major concern when it became obvious that there were not enough singers available to make it a concert of the quality and skill we have all come to expect. We ask for your understanding and thank you for that as well as for your continued support as we move forward to the conclusion of our 2019-2020 season. The May, 2020 concert is still being planned and is expected to be performed.

Savor succulent sweets, thoughtful and stimulating poetry, and the music of love as the Chamber Singers explore the whimsical, paradoxical, confusing, and flamboyant moods of love throughout the centuries with a frothy mix of classical, jazz, and pop compositions for the Valentine season.
